Intake can include identity screening, fingerprint capture, a booking photograph, property inventory, charge and warrant entry, medical and safety screening, housing classification, and judicial-commissioner review of probable cause and bond. Cash, surety, recognizance, or hold conditions depend on the judicial order. “Recognizance” means release based on a promise and set conditions rather than a cash deposit.
